Extra Time

Hosted by Ian and Ruth Coffey, the week includes morning Bible Study, and the popular ‘Coffee with the Coffeys’: a relaxed magazine-style session with interviews, discussions, and opportunities to dig deeper into the themes of the week, which will include discussing how to make the most of the opportunities retirement offers.

Across the week there will be opportunities to talk to, and hear from, others navigating life after work. An evening meeting gives further opportunity to worship and pray together and hear more from God’s word. While this is a unique opportunity to meet with people facing the same circumstances and enjoy a quiet, quality holiday together, you don’t have to be an over-60 to enjoy the week. We ensure that the ministry is relevant to everyone, and those escaping work are very welcome.

Across the week will be plenty of opportunities to meet with other guests, through meals, excursions and activities, making this week perfect for those who love to socialise. Whether traveling solo, with a friend, or your other half, our hosts will ensure you are welcomed and soon feel part of the Extra Time community. All our organised programming is optional, and you can dip in and out as you wish and there is no judgement for those enjoying a read by the pool or quiet coffee on the terrace. There will be plenty of time to explore the local area, either on foot, by bike, or jumping in our minibus to head out to explore the local area including its beaches, towns and visitor attractions.

How about two weeks?

If one week isn’t enough, we’re extending our season to include all of September with our ‘Indian Summer’ week, giving more opportunities to stretch summer for as long as you can. With a daily Thought for the day, and some relaxed activities, this week will provide a perfect extension to Extra Time.
