Documentation

The following documentation is required for your trip to Le Pas Opton:

– Passports for all members of your party (valid for 3 months beyond the end of your holiday)

– EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) or GHIC

– Personal travel insurance details, especially the helpline to call in an emergency.

Money matters

There is no Bureau de Change or ATM at the park. We accept payments in euros by card and cash.

For your accommodation you will need:

– Bed linen for tents and mobile homes

– Duvets or sleeping bags for tents

– Towels

These are available to hire by contacting our Customer Service team.

Arrival day

Please park in the external car park (no earlier than 2pm) and register at reception.

Your accommodation should be ready by 5pm.

Join the team for Welcome Drinks in the bar at 7:30pm featuring information about the park, programme and local area.

Please call Le Pas Opton reception before 7pm if you will be arriving after that time. Between 7pm and 11pm, collect your arrival information from the bar and register at reception the following morning.

After 11pm your key and arrival information will be available in the box outside reception. Arrivals after 10:30pm will need to leave their vehicle in the main car park overnight.

If you are delayed and decide to stop overnight en route, please inform Le Pas Opton directly.

If you arrive in the evening and reception is shut, you will need to register at reception the following day.

Departures

Please vacate your accommodation and return your keys to reception by 10am on your departure day.

Leave your accommodation as clean as you found it, remove all rubbish and recycling to the collection point on site. Once you have vacated your accommodation, you may park in the car park and use the facilities on site until 4pm.

Driving in France

We strongly recommend that you check current legal requirements for driving in France before you begin your journey to Le Pas Opton. The AA and RAC both have helpful websites. Don't forget your UK sticker, if coming from the UK: this replaces the old GB stickers.

Ferry information

There are no printed tickets for our ferry crossings. If you have booked your ferry with us, you will check in at the port using the ferry booking reference found on your invoice.

Alcohol & Drugs

French law prohibits the sale of alcohol to those under the age of 18. Under 18s may only drink alcohol under parental supervision in your own accommodation.

French law prohibits the use of recreational drugs.

BBQs

Charcoal BBQs and open fires on campsites are banned by local law. Gas BBQs are available to hire.

Behaviour

We reserve the right to terminate the contract of any customers whose behaviour, in the opinion of our site management, interferes with the comfort of our other guests, the safety of our staff, contravenes site regulations - a copy of which is available at the site - or for any other reason deemed fit by the park manager. In the event of such a termination, no refund will be payable.

Children

Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times. Adults must be prepared to remain with their children, particularly those under two, in their clubs if asked.

Noise curfew

We operate a 1am curfew. All guests are expected to be in their accommodation at this time.

Noise

There is an 11pm to 7:30am quiet rule that we ask all our guests to respect.

Pets

Pets are not allowed on site, other than registered assistance dogs (with specific pre-approval from the site Director).

Riverside

The riverside area is fenced off for safety reasons. Please shut the childproof gates at all times. Lifebelts are available for emergencies.

Rubbish and recycling

Please keep your pitch clean and tidy and remove all rubbish and recycling to the collection point before leaving the site.

Sanitary measures

To help everyone have a safe and enjoyable holiday, please follow all signage and instructions regarding sanitary measures.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in accommodation, at poolside and in public buildings. Please be considerate and responsibly dispose of your cigarette ends.

Swimming Pool

Inflatables are not allowed in the pool during July and August. Sorry, there isn't space! Also, there is no food or drink allowed in or around the pool. Sunbeds may not be reserved, with towels or otherwise.

Swimming shorts are allowed; Speedos are not mandatory as in some cases in France.

Vehicle access and circulation on site

The site gates will be closed between 10:30pm and 7:30am. Between these hours, please use the car park outside the gates. The speed limit on site for vehicles and bikes is 10km/h.

Visitors

If you have visitors, they must register at reception. Visitors are not permitted to use the swimming pool.

Washing lines

Please do not attach ropes, washing lines or hammocks to trees or hedges. Rotary washing lines are available to hire.

Wristbands

All guests are required to wear the wristbands which they receive on arrival.
